This play is about the ambiguous relationship between
Gus, the 5 year old first-born and his flashing little sister, whom he
had eagerly expected.
The idea of sharing with a new family member is frustrated
since the beginning, because: How can you play with a newborn?
Through the different scenes that make up the show, we
perceive Gus going from jealousy to competition and knowing that from
now on, he will not only share his room and his toys, but his parents’
love.
But as well, he will experiment the pride of being the
older brother and rescuing his sister from danger.
The play was presented during the 1999-2000 season of
the National Program of School Theatre in Mexico City.
There have already been 250 shows presented.
The play participated in the National Theatre 2000 Show
of Merida, Yucatán.
Due to the fact that the Program is given only
to schools and not to an open audience, there is no journal follow up
of these presentations.
