Recommended for children between 3 and 5 years old.
Upstairs in the sky is gentle, heart-warming reassurance of family love – even when loved ones are no longer there. The story of Princess Veronica and her search for her grandfather King Jim takes the audience on an imaginary journey through a dark, dark wood, up a tall, tall tower to a beautiful magical cloudscape.
Inspired by children's play, actors use the most basic play materials to create puppets, atmosphere and landscapes. Specially commissioned music by Rob Lee brings its own exceptional warmth to the production. The play materials are left behind as a gift at the end of each performance for further use in the classroom.
