MEXICAN REPUBLIC

GRUPO 55 CONTINUES TO PERFORM “UPSTAIRS IN THE SKY” ON NUMEROUS STAGES ACROSS THE REPUBLIC OF MEXICO.

In July, Grupo 55 will give the following performances:

Sunday, July 5th at 12:00 PM in the CENTRO COMUNITARIO CULHUACÁN in the colony of Culhuacán, Mexico City.

Saturday, July 11th at 12:30 PM in the FARO MILPA ALTA in the village of San Antonio Tecomitl, Mexico City.

CANADA, QUEBEC, MONTREAL

Grupo 55 has been advising the creation of two cultural centers in the province of Quebec:

The first is innovative and private in character.  It is located in the center of Montreal and for the moment we cannot provide further information due to confidentiality clauses.

In this project, Larry is working with proposals in order to shape the activities program for children and their families.

The second is in the city of Trois-Rivières (90 minutes from Montreal).

It involves "Spect-Arts Plate-forme artistique Sainte Cécile" in which an enormous church in the historic center of the city (Sainte Cécile) will be restored in order to convert it into an artistic and cultural center.

In this endeavor, Larry is collaborating with the conception and general conceptualization of the artistic and cultural project.

Larry is also in advanced negotiations to collaborate with Montreal's international children's theater festival “Petits bonheurs”, aimed at children ages zero through six years.

ARGENTINA, BUENOS AIRES 

NEXT PREMIER

The staging has begun in Buenos Aires for "Upstairs in the Clouds", by Carey English and Guy Holland, a revival of the version that premiered in Mexico City, originally directed by Guy Holland.  The Argentinean premier is expected at the beginning of September.

This staging relies on the participation of Argentinean actors, it will be aimed at children ages three through five years, and the performances will be initially be given in different children's parks and nurseries, special events and official institutions in the city of Buenos Aires.

PROJECTS FOR 2010

A season of "Upstairs in the Clouds" is in the works for the public for the beginning of the year.  Furthermore, we are doing our part with official forms of media and private producers with the material from the play "Little Man", written and directed by Larry Silberman, with the objective of bringing it to the stage and premiering the play in May of next year.
